OVERVIEW

Gin Rummy is a strategic and skillful card game that has withstood the test of time. The objective is to organize your hand into sets (cards of the same rank) and runs (consecutive cards of the same suit) while minimizing the number of "deadwood" cards that do not fit into any sets or runs. The game concludes when a player reaches the target score of 100 points, creating a thrilling competition to outsmart your opponent and emerge victorious.


GUIDELINES

  1. Objective: Keep the number of "deadwood" cards in your hand to a minimum by creating sets and runs.
  • Sets: Collections of cards with the same rank (for example, three 7s).
  • Runs: Sequential cards belonging to the same suit (such as 4, 5, 6 of Hearts).
  1. Scoring:
  • Points from your opponent's remaining deadwood cards are added to your own score.
  • Declare "knock" or achieve "go gin" (no deadwood remaining) to maximize your points.
  1. Victory:
  • The first player to reach or exceed 100 points emerges as the winner.
  • Avoid allowing your opponent to reach 100 points before you do!
